The mission of Laker Robotics is to develop the character traits of hard work, critical and creative thinking, good sportsmanship, continuous improvement, commitment to excellence, and leadership. These traits are positively associated with a sense of accomplishment, fun and success primarily through the use of competitive robotics.


  • Students in grades K – 3rd participate in FIRST Lego League EXPLORE.
  • Students in grades 4th – 5th participate in FIRST Lego League (FLL) CHALLENGE.
  • Students in grades 6th – 8th participate in FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC).
  • Students in grades 9th – 12th participate in Oakland County Competitive Robotics (OCCRA) in the Fall and/or FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) in the Winter / Spring.

  • The 2022 Season for high school students has officially started (January 8th, 2022)!
